Role and responsibilities

With a focus on coaching and mentorship, the Assistant Branch Manager leads by example and provides leadership, expertise and guidance to the branch team as they deliver transactional, deposit, investment and personal lending services to members This position works alongside the Branch Manager to ensure branch and corporate goals are met, employees have the tools and resources they need to succeed, and the branch environment is warm and welcoming.

Key responsibilities

Sales and service leadershipCreating value, growing member relationships, employee learning and development
Member serviceShare knowledge about various products and serve as a subject matter expert for products and services including lending
Member and community experienceBuilding member loyalty, staying informed, building community connections
Employee experienceEngagement, teamwork, leadership, learning, commitment, accountability
Risk managementMaintaining member confidence, risk and loss mitigation

Experience and education

  • Minimum five years financial service
  • Minimum two years retail lending experience
  • Direct or indirect leadership experience
  • Combined experience and post-secondary education in the areas directly related to our business is an asset
