Term Deposits - Available for periods of 30 days to five years and amounts starting at $500 (or $100 for members under 18 years,) term deposits are a great way to earn more for your money. Rates of interest vary with the amount invested and the length of the investment.
RRSPs and RRIFs - Registered Retirement Savings Plans and Registered Retirement Income Funds are available at both fixed and variable rates. Neither has any setup or transfer in charges, and no administration except on self-directed RRSPs. Funds can be withdrawn from RRIFs on a monthly or annual basis, as you like. Registered Education Savings Funds are also available.
Financial Planning - Many financial planning services are available to advise members on investing, including retirement planning, RRSPs, RRIFs, and RESPs. Our financial planner can offer counsel on life, disability, and other insurance needs, risk management, reverse mortgages, and group insurance plans. This service is available at our Murrayville branch, and is free to any member. An appointment can be made at any branch.
